ANTIQUES AND ARTS SHOW

The MPTV Friends of Channel 10/36 will present antiques and art in the lobby space surrounding the exhibit hall of the Wisconsin Expo Center at State Fair Park. The assimilation of antiques and art into home and gardens continues to be a proven formula for decorators. Show goers will be treated to over 50 booths filled with only the best quality antique furniture, jewelry, linens and glassware, just to list a few along with quality original paintings, prints, pottery and everything in between! Get original decorating ideas and purchase art and antiques from some of the best dealers in the area!

The MPTV Friends are also promoting items which will be sold at the Great TV Auction. Art and other fine auction merchandise will be on display throughout the walkway with information about the piece as well as the ability to place prebids on those items. Verbal Appraisals of Fine Antiques
SATURDAY, MARCH 29TH, 10:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.

Six representatives of Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, one of the country’s most notable auction houses, will offer verbal appraisals of fine antiques from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday, March 29th. The categories include fine art, furniture, decorative arts, fine books and manuscripts. Verbal appraisals will be limited to two per person and require a separate ticket for each appraisal. Tickets will be sold starting at 9:30am on March 29th. Only 800 tickets will be sold. Tickets cost $10 each. Admission to the Home & Garden show requires a separate ticket.

The Kaptivating Kovels
SUNDAY, MARCH 30TH, AT 1:00 P.M.

At 1:00pm on Sunday, March 30th, America’s favorite authorities on antiques and collectibles make a rare appearance at the Home & Garden Show.

Ralph and Terry Kovel write a syndicated column on antiques in more then 150 newspapers nationwide, including the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Since 1968, they have stayed true to the original intent of printing indispensable and accurate information in all of their 95 books. Many of their programs have been shown on over 100 public television stations, the Discovery Channel and HGTV.

The Kovels’ presentation will allow for questions and answers, and be followed by a book signing. Harry W. Schwartz Bookshops will offer books for sale at the show. This truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity that you won’t want to miss.
